Speech and Drama - "The Red Rose"
The class did a dramatization of the Big Book, "Red Rose" at the school Eco-garden. The pupils reread the Big Book, "The Red Rose" in the class before the dramatization. All the pupils had the opportunity to take on a role ("a caterpillar", "a cat", "a dog", "a bird", "Mr Singh" or "Mrs Singh") in the story. Some of the pupils were very shy but they did a great job as the story progressed on. At the end of the lesson, three pupils, Yu Bin, Kyler and Z'en were awarded a rose each for being the best 'actors'.

The class read a new Big Book, "The Red Rose" in their SBA lesson today. The pupils played a game, "I spy" to conclude the lesson.
ICT Lesson- EDP Portal
ICT Lesson on how to access the EDP Portal
The pupils learnt how to access the EDP Portal in their ICT lesson today. They learnt how to log in to the portal and how to upload their assignments in the portal. The portal allows pupils to access on-line assignments. It also enables school information to be readily shared to the parents and pupils.

Big Book Story- "Dan, The Flying Man"
This is one of the pupils' favourite Big Book, "Dan, The Flying Man"
Dramatization- "Hairy Bear"
The class did a dramatization of "Hairy Bear" story today . The pupils took on the roles of the various characters in the story, eg the Papa Bear, Mama Bear and the baby bears. They brought their own teddy bears to school. They had fun retelling the story in their groups.
Pastoral Care Lesson- Diligence and Perseverance
A Lesson on our school core values- Diligence and Perseverance
The class had another role-play today during the Pastoral Care Lesson. The objectives of the lesson were to get the pupils to cultivate good study habits and know the importance of following the habits. They were given two scenarios- At Home and In the Classroom. The pupils who did the role- play were marvelous. Their classmates were very impressed by their performances.

Today's lesson was on vocabulary. Pupils identified the vocabulary words from the Big Book, 'Dan, The Flying Man'. They were asked to say something about each word, for example, 'What do your favourite flowers look like?' Pupils were encouraged to use the vocabulary words they have learnt in their responses.

The class had another fruitful Show & Tell session today. Some of the pupils brought their toys. They were very excited to show and share what they had with their friends. The children did a marvelous job when they introduced their superheros to their classmates. Well Done! Keep It Up!

Creative Writing
The pupils did a piece of creative writing today. As it was their first time writing a story, the whole class did a class dictated story before they did another writing independently.

The class had a Show & Tell session today. The pupils brought their superhero/ heroine toys to school. They talked about what the superhero/ heroine can do and what they liked or they disliked about the superhero/ heroine.

Pupils sing and dance to the tune of "Do you know the Muffin Man?"
The class did a Shared Book Reading on "Dan, The Flying Man" today. They sang and danced to the tune of "Do you know the Muffin Man?" They were great! After reading the story, the pupils completed a worksheet.
